The Schola Cantorum is the liturgical voice of Holy Nativity of the Theotokos Cathedral in Portland, OR -the Cathedral Parish of the Diocese of Etna and Portland (ΓΟΧ).  The Latin phrase Schola Cantorum means "School of Chant" and thus our Schola is more than a "choir" -it is  an opportunity to learn the tradition of the classical Psaltic Art of the Great Church.

The Schola welcomes men, both experienced psaltai and those interested in learning the Psaltic Arts, and are serious about the Orthodox liturgical life, to our chanting community here in Portland, OR.
